Another real wedding for you today & it’s a corker! Think pom-poms, glitter & more pom-poms & you’re half way there! Jess & Rob got married on Valentines day this year at The Great John Street Hotel in Manchester & it was a fab day all round, I mean just look at those happy faces!

Jess look absolutely stunning in her tea length 50’s style dress from Frock Nottingham which she teamed with a gorgeous blue grey feather shrug which reminds me of the feathery shrug I had for our own wedding! When asked whether they had a particular theme for the day Jess says…

“We didn’t really have a theme as such, we just wanted our day to be informal and untraditional – as relaxed as possible!”

And untraditional it was as instead of the usual petals or paper Jess & Ross opted for pom-pom confetti instead by Sid & Olive which looked just amazing!

The pom-poms became a bit of a theme as it was this style of bouquet that Jess opted for. When Jess emailed me & described her dress, mentioned pom-poms & asked if some of them could be glittery I immediately knew we were going to get on! We discussed different colour options but in the end opted for a range of blues & greys to match the sash on her dress & it’s still a bouquet that just makes me smile when I look at it.

Obviously I can’t have favourites but this did receive a lot of love from you lot on social media when I shared it, I mean pom-poms & glitter, whats not to love?! It was really nice that Rob opted to have a pom-pom buttonhole to match & he looks pretty dapper don’t you agree… I mean that suit & the felt tie… need I go on…

When asked which product or service they were most impressed by the pom-poms played key role again…

“Obviously, my DaphneRosa bouquet was amazing! It’s so difficult to choose, as all of our suppliers were so fantastic! Our photographer was incredible, as was our fantastic cake – and our pom-pom confetti was so much fun!”

Jess & Rob certainly look pretty relaxed in their photos & Jess shared this as the biggest lesson they learned when planning their big day…

“I learned that it really doesn’t matter about all the small details that you worry about during the run up to the big day! When the day does arrive, none of that seems to matter! Luckily, the staff at the venue were fantastic and made sure everything was perfect.”

And their big tip for couples currently planning their wedding…

“Do what makes you and your partner happy – it is your day!”

Jess was also kind enough to share her thoughts on her bouquet, I know I say it all the time but my brides really are the best!

“I knew that I didn’t want a traditional fresh flower bouquet, so when I saw DaphneRosa I knew that this would be perfect for me! My bouquet was absolutely stunning and all our guests commented on how beautiful and unique it was. My husband’s button hole was gorgeous and complemented my bouquet so perfectly.

Kate was so professional and understood exactly what I wanted. The bouquet and button-hole exceeded all our expectations – thank you so much!”
