Etsy Pop-Up Shop – 28th February 2015
The Round Church, Cambridge
Hot on the tail of the National Wedding Show we took part in an Etsy Pop-Up Shop in Cambridge. being new to the group it was great to be selected to take part with some other fantastic Etsy sellers and we had a great day! The venue was just breathtaking, the Round Church is the second oldest building in Cambridge and it was the perfect setting with visitors able to enjoy their free cup of tea or coffee in the pews! It was great to have an opportunity to try out a few new non wedding products including our flower hair grips and pom pom rings which went down a treat and are in the Etsy shop now! Here’s a few pics from the day…
The National Wedding Show – 20th-22nd February 2015
Wow, well where to start! We had an absolutely amazing time here – 3 days of wedding, wedding, wedding! Over 12,000 people came to Olympia over the whole weekend and it felt like we spoke to most of them!!
A lot of work went into planning for the weekend including what the stand was going to look like. An unbelievably talented friend designed it to look like a fairy-tale woodland and illustrated the gorgeous gold trees as the backdrop for our pretties to take centre stage! It went down a treat and we welcomed so many brides, grooms, bridesmaids, mothers of the bride & groom, friends, flower girls…. the list goes on!!
We ran a competition over the weekend where one lucky bride to be could win a bouquet or hair accessory of her choice. Over 50 brides entered and after a close fought competition we had our winner! Natalie managed to get over 1,200 likes on her picture on our Facebook page and received her veil last week. We cant wait to see pics of her looking gorgeous in it on her big day!
It’s been great to hear from so many brides since the end of the show with the diary for this year filling up fast! It’s so exciting to be working on so many different ideas for flowers with one bride and groom even visiting the studio to pick out fabrics, we love our job!
This is the biggest wedding fair we’ve done to date with around 700 lovely brides with their grooms, mums, bridesmaids or some with the full entourage! The grandstand at Newmarket racecourse was a great venue and we loved meeting some fab other exhibitors too. It was lovely to meet so many excited brides to be who loved our fabric flowers… the diary is filling up fast! We ran a competition on our Facebook page after the show and 1 lucky bride won with over 200 likes on her photo… can’t wait to start designing some beautiful flowers just for her!
Kate & Cat’s Craft-Tea Christmas – 13th December 2014
St Pauls Centre, Cambridge
We had a amazing day teaming up with Cat from The Teatime Treatery (www.teatimetreatery.com) and watching our guests create fabric wreaths and enjoy a sensational Christmas afternoon tea. They all loved the food and made some fantastic looking wreaths!
Here’s what they had to say…
“I really wasn’t sure what to expect when I booked but it was much better than I imagined! the atmosphere was warm and inviting and Cat & Kate were wonderful hosts. Their cheerfulness and Christmas spirit was infectious and in no time at all with Kate’s encouragement, everyone was busy being creative, sharing ideas and chatting away! The afternoon tea was totally delicious and beautifully served – and what’s not to like about a hot chocolate bar?! Thank goodness for the doggie bag! But the best thing was we all had such fun. I still can’t believe I managed to create something so pretty and that I am ridiculously proud of! So, well done ladies, – when’s the next one??”
“I had a wonderful, relaxing afternoon and came away with a fabric wreath that will come out every Christmas from now on. The tea was delicious, with a perfect balance of sweet and savoury. Being given goodie bags of cake and treats to take home was a lovely finishing touch.”
