I'm Kate and I run DaphneRosa, the home of positive and playful home and paper goods, combining colour and pattern to add a little personality to your home.

Being creative began when I was really small and my Nan taught me all she knew. Hours spent creating out of salt dough, drawing and colouring, knitting and sewing were the beginnings of my creative career. But it took a degree in Textile Design, a stint designing hand woven fabrics for a tsunami project in Sri Lanka and then 9 years as a secondary school Textiles teacher to get me here today! Her name was Daphne Rosina, the namesake of the business, and although I often get emails and messages addressed to Daphne rather than Kate it doesn't annoy me in the slightest, it's almost like she's still a part of it all and that always makes me smile.

It has always been a dream to run my own creative business and after making all the flowers and bouquets for our wedding out of fabric I started making them for others and DaphneRosa was born. I exhibited at the National Wedding Show and was featured in the press, until I decided to move away from the wedding market and focus on my true loves, stationery and homewares. The single stem cotton, leather and linen roses were born along with a range of hand lettered positive and playful paper goods and the collections just keep on growing!

As a Constructed Textiles specialist, the combination of colour, pattern and texture is at the core of DaphneRosa, bringing products which add a unique touch to your home. From patterned cotton hanging banners to felt wall art with flocked lettering, everything is just a little bit touchable! I'm also a big lover of giving gifts which are personalised so most of the products you'll find in the shop can be customised with names, dates or your own quote or message. Whether it be for an anniversary, birthday, wedding or just because, I've personalised hundreds of bottles, cards and prints but I still love reading each and every message.

Everything is designed and made in my home studio, just outside of Cambridge, using high quality, UK sourced materials. I do have a little helper, my little boy Sullivan, although he's not quite up to cutting out petals or designing greetings cards just yet. He is however a dab hand at putting your orders in the bag ready for the post office and passing me things from the printer!
